Be a Part of Hoboken History

Located in one of the oldest buildings on the waterfront, the Hoboken Historical Museum is dedicated to preserving and celebrating the city’s rich heritage. Through award-winning exhibitions, engaging programs, and dynamic community events, we bring Hoboken’s past to life while fostering a deeper connection to its evolving present.

We collect, preserve, and interpret artifacts and oral histories, both historic and contemporary, and host guest lectures, film screenings, readings, concerts, and hands-on workshops. Our Upper Gallery spotlights local artists whose work reflects Hoboken and the surrounding area in a variety of visual media.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we rely on public grants, fundraising events, and, most importantly, the generous support of community members and local businesses. Your membership helps us continue offering exhibitions, educational programs, and cultural events that make Hoboken’s history accessible to all.
