Hoboken Public Art Tour with Bob Foster
Hop aboard for a guided tour of Hoboken’s vibrant public art scene!
As part of Hoboken Art Month, the Hoboken Historical Museum invites you to explore the city’s collection of public art aboard one of Hoboken’s HOP buses.
From colorful murals and historic statues to contemporary installations, this two-hour tour will highlight the artwork that brings creativity, culture, and character to Hoboken’s streets and public spaces.
Led by Hoboken Historical Museum Executive Director Bob Foster, the tour will explore both longstanding works and newer additions to the city’s growing public art collection.
Drawing on his decades of experience preserving and sharing Hoboken’s history, Bob will offer insights into the artwork, the artists who created it, and the connections between Hoboken’s artistic heritage and its evolving cultural landscape.
Attendees will disembark at each stop for an up-close look at the artwork, with opportunities to learn about its history, significance, and place within Hoboken’s arts scene.
Whether you’re a longtime resident, an art enthusiast, or simply curious about the creative side of Hoboken, this tour offers a fun and informative way to experience the city from a different perspective.
Hoboken Art Month is produced by the Hoboken Business Alliance and Hoboken Cultural Affairs, celebrating the city’s creative community through exhibitions, performances, workshops, and special events throughout October.
