Visit the Museum

The Hoboken Historical Museum welcomes visitors six days a week in the former Bethlehem Steel machine shop, one of the oldest buildings on Hoboken’s waterfront.

  • Friday: 1 PM – 5 PM

  • Saturday – Sunday: 12 PM – 5 PM

  • Monday: Closed

Getting Here

Address: 1301 Hudson St., Hoboken, New Jersey

  • By Bus (NJ Transit #126): From NYC’s Port Authority Bus Terminal (Gate 213), take the #126 Bus to Hoboken. Get off at 14th & Washington Streets, walk east to Hudson St., and one block south.

  • By PATH: Take the PATH train from NYC to Hoboken Terminal. From there, take the #126 or #89 bus to 13th St., then walk one block east.

  • Scenic Walk: Enjoy a 20–30 minute walk from the terminal along the scenic Hoboken waterfront or vibrant Washington Street. Here’s our Walking Tour Map.

  • By Ferry:

    • Hoboken North: Walk one block west along 14th St., then one block south.

    • Hoboken South: Arrives at Hoboken Terminal; follow PATH directions above.


Parking

  • Free Validated Parking: Up to 3 hours free at Littleman Parking – Independence Garage (Shipyard Lane at 12th St.). Notify the attendant you are visiting the Museum and bring your ticket to the front desk to be stamped.

  • Metered Parking: Available Monday – Saturday, 9 AM – 9 PM. Pay stations accept cash and credit cards.

  • Sunday Parking: Metered parking is free on Sundays. City of Hoboken parking


Visitor Policies

  • Photography: Non-flash photography is permitted for personal use. Tag us with @HobokenMuseum when sharing on social media!

  • Consent: Your presence implies consent for the Museum to use your likeness in educational and promotional materials. Please inform staff or email info@hobokenmuseum.org if you prefer not to be photographed.
