Hoboken Talks Interview with Michael Cannarozzi by “Hoboken Mary” DeGaeta
April 18 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Please join us this Thursday, April 18 at 7pm when the legendary Michael Cannarozzi sits down with “Hoboken Mary” DeGaeta for a special interview on Hoboken Talks. This virtual program will be livestreamed on Facebook and YouTube.
There’s so much to say about Michael and his life in Hoboken. Michael is the son of Lena and Emil. Sadly, Michael lost Emil at the young age of 2. Despite this, Michael had a childhood full of love and attention from his extended family. Michael grew up at 615 Jefferson St, where he lived in a 3-family house with his relatives. He says: “no one had it better than me” because his family was always together.
Family means everything to Michael and he cherishes his roles as husband, father, and grandfather. One of the causes most dear to his heart is autism awareness advocacy, which he has fundraised for over the last five years as a volunteer for Autism Speaks.
Michael’s faith motivates his community involvement. He serves as the Vice President of the Holy Name Society, and is a 30 year member of the Hoboken Elks, and a 40 year member of Hoboken Knights of Columbus, among other organizations.
Even though Michael moved out of Hoboken and lives 50 miles away, he still visits 2 times a week, including to his home parish of St. Francis.
Please join us this Thursday to hear all of Michael’s stories about growing up in Hoboken! We are over the moon to have Hoboken Mary join us again, this time as the host.
