Hoboken Talks: Maggie Hinders, longtime resident and painter, interviewed by Bill Curran
February 22, 2022 @ 12:00 am
Join us Thursday, March 10 at 7pm when Maggie Hinders is interviewed by the Museum’s own Bill Curran.
Maggie Hinders is a book designer, a painter and an utter delight. She’s lived in Hoboken for 37 years, which means, as she puts it, she “lived through the ‘Yuppies Invade My House at Dinnertime’ era.” She was born in rural western Ohio, and moved to Hoboken shortly after attending art school in Cincinnati. “The Hobokener” artist Kevin McCloskey is a friend, and she may bring a wonderful watercolor that he did of Benny Tudino’s pizza. She and her husband Tom were married in 1986. Their wedding took place in their apartment and was officiated by Tom Vezzetti, whom the Daily News memorably dubbed “America’s Wackiest Mayor.” Bring those 37 years worth of photos, Maggie!
