July 17, 2023 @ 12:00 am
Join us for a livestream interview of Buttered Roll conducted by Poet-in-Residence Danny Shot on Hoboken Talks on Thursday, July 27 at 7PM.
Buttered Roll (he/his/him) is a Colombian-born, self-taught, poet, painter, performer and not-so-complex carbohydrate who resides in Hoboken, NJ. He has been faithfully reading and rearranging the written word since he was in his teens. He has been painting with oils and acrylics for approximately 12 years. “Exile in Orange,” Buttered Roll’s first solo visual art show, took place at SMUSH Gallery from March 2021 – May 2021. Buttered Roll has self-published 2 books and donated 100% of the proceeds to the Hoboken Homeless Shelter. Buttered Roll’s writing has been published in Soup Can Magazine, Nuance Journal from An Artist’s Duty Collective, The Aesthetic Apostle, and Breadcrumbs Magazine. Buttered Roll’s second solo show was held at Greenhive Studio in May 2023. Buttered Roll has too many tabs open on his desktop, can’t find his car keys or his car and has many forthcoming projects, which will surely find him the fame and fortune he is seeking.
Tune in to hear this lively discussion about poetry, art and history.
