The Thomas Edison Film Festival and Hoboken Historical Museum are pleased to host a free screening of the film Ball & Vase. This special event will take place on Saturday, December 2 at 6pm at HHM located at 1301 Hudson Street. The program will feature the director of the film, David Baram.

Ball & Vase follows the story of an ailing professor and magician Ed Coleman. He is 92 years old, widowed, a World War II veteran and living alone in a small apartment in Hoboken, NJ. He has been all but forgotten. Ed does have one thing that keeps him going—an upcoming visit by his grandson on Christmas. But a change of plans leaves Ed with one last opportunity to reconnect with the world.

Ball & Vase was filmed in Hoboken and includes scenes from Moran’s, All Saints Episcopal Parish, Hudson Street, and our stunning waterfront. Ball & Vase will be premiering on PBS/Thirteen on December 14 and has over 15 Best Film Awards. It has been picked by Hollywood Reporter and Variety in their top 10 shorts for an Oscar Nomination.
