Transportation ticket: Delaware, Lackawanna & Western Railroad, Month Commutation Ticket for February 1912; good for sixty rides between East Orange and New York.
Printed cardstock, 2-7/8" high x nominal 4" wide. Form L60. Serial number 139. Numerous conductors' punches including ferry portion (front left) of ticket. Purchase validation stamp on back.
Ticket was used by an H.G. Dorsey. Train portion of travel would have been to or from Lackawanna Terminal in Hoboken.
With: New York Railways Company streetcar ticket, 34th Street Crosstown Line, Sept. 18, 1912.
This ticket was received with the one above and is not the same month as the Monthly ticket. It is apparently an example of one used by a railroad/ferry passenger for surface travel in Manhattan. Note that it was punched for transit in the 5 PM block, thus a rider probably heading for the Lackawanna Ferry terminal on the west side of Manhattan.
