The view is looking east with New York City in the background. Three dry docks are visible with lighterage car float barges in two of them. Note the two ferries on the Hudson River and the ferry terminal at the left. At the center is a car float barge with a tugboat underway to New York.In the lower right corner is what appears to be the remains of several vessels possibly the result of a fire.
Union Dry Dock Repair Co. was located in Weehawken from 1908 until it moved to its present facility in Hoboken in the late 1980's.
