Object/Artifact
Commemorative glass: First Air Conditioned Erie Lackawanna Ry. [Rwy. or Railway] Commuter Train in Morris County, Dec., 1969. Clear ball-shaped glass, 3-1/8" diameter x 2-7/8" high; red silkscreened text in four lines. No maker's marks.
While the size is probably a juice glass, it may have also been used for bar service on the commuter line as an old fashioned glass.
A souvenir presumed to have been issued by the Railway Co.(or possibly some County agency) celebrating this upgrade to passenger cars. The service to Morris County operated from Lackawanna Terminal, Hoboken.
