Tin: Lipton Tea, Orange Pekoe & Pekoe Tea Bags. Thomas J. Lipton, Inc., (Packer), Hoboken, N.J. No date, ca. 1921-1936. Chromo-lithographed metal with lid. 6-1/8" wide x 3-1/4" deep x 1-1/8" high. With: embossed foil liner; double-sided printed insert. Original tea contents not present.
Contents was 15 Lipton Orange Pekoe and Pekoe Tea Bags; net weight 1.8 ounces.
The embossed foil liner is 5-5/8" wide x 8-15/16" long. The panel seen on opening the container (covered the product) is embossed with the same artwork as seen on the lid top.
The printed paper insert, 3" wide x 5-5/16" high, has instructions on one side of six steps to brew perfect tea; the other side has "Tea Facts" with three facts plus the company name and Hoboken, New Jersey.
