Proclamation was presented during the 1997 Hoboken Heritage Award ceremonies of the Hoboken Historic Preservation Commission co-sponsored with the Hoboken Historical Museum in the Council Chambers, City Hall. The document was probably from the Hudson County Board of Chosen Freeholders and was honoring Kirchgessner and the 98th anniversary of Kirchgessner's family business, United Decorating Company. A Museum exhibition about the company was then in place at City Hall.
