Van der Wiel, Art Photographer, Hoboken, New Jersey 1914 ---- Creator: Crookston, Newell J., 1890-1976. Title: Mae Crookston Wennegren photograph collection Dates: 1910-1920 ( inclusive ) 1914-1917 ( bulk ) Quantity: 1 box (0.5 linear ft. ) Collection Number: USU_P0130 Summary: An album consisting of 249 black & white photographic images, mostly snapshots, taken and/or collected by Newell James Crookston between roughly 1910 and 1917. Many of these photos are from an Eastern States mission (1914-1915) for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and consist of New York City views, and of sites relevant to early Mormon Church history. Other images are of Washington D.C., Logan Canyon, agriculture on the Crookston farm, and Crookston family members. The album was disassembled to prevent further damage from occurring due to loose prints and surface rubbing caused by traces of glue.
