The word principal has been crossed out and replaced with "Examiner". This was a certification to the University of the State of New York. Where the principal was to sign, it has been signed by Sister M. Guddine. Whether this is an eighth grade exam or the eighth year of this exam program is not indicated. Miller was a Hoboken resident and did attend parochial schools.
