To paraphrase the Abstract: The publication is about Camp Nordland, a former German-American Bund Auxiliary political meeting center and recreational camp for children and families in New Jersey during the late 1930’s prior to World War II. Serving as a hub for German-American activities supporting Adolf Hitler and the Third-Reich. It was seized by the government in 1941 for conducting un-American activities and was later acquired by a family from Hoboken to be used as a summer resort and as a location for the A.J. Demarest High School football team pre-season training camp from 1955 to 1960. It continues today to be a center for families, friends and children to gather as well as a place to have special events and recreational activities that is known as Hillside Park in Andover Township, Sussex County New Jersey.
