See primary record in library catalog, 2005.024.0002. Article states it was the oldest restaurant in the State of New Jersey. Founded 43 years earlier, (1865), it was originally on Washington Street. Since 1888, it had been at the present address. Current proprietor was Alfons Conradt who joined Schlatter in 1891. It was listed as a restaurant and "wine merchant." Not credited, but photograph was possibly taken by Ernst F. Walter of Hoboken. See primary record and related.
