DescriptionPrinted black-and-white photograph of George F. Burger, Drug Store, First and Bloomfield Sts., Hoboken, no date, ca. 1906-1908. As published on page 34 of "Hoboken Illustrated", 1909. See primary record in library catalog, 2005.024.0002. Street address is probably 200 Bloomfield St. (from direction of sunlight and reference to maps showing orientation of buildings on other corners.) He mentions "he was a junior clerk in a house in New York, together with George Hoffman" in 1886. He apparently operated a second drug store in Hoboken under the name of George Hoffman at 427 Garden St. See 2005.024.0002.06 for a differing account of the 'George Hoffman' name. Not credited, but photograph was possibly taken by Ernst F. Walter of Hoboken. See primary record and related.
