Hoboken Police Department mug shot files, two metal cases with photos mounted (flip style) in sliding drawers, ca. 1920's to 1960's. Uncounted, but holds several hundred.
Names of people are not in the photo or on the sheet.
Images, one or two, mounted on card stock, 8" square. Image of person taken in front of height scales. Also in most images is a card or calendar with the month/day/year and a police department number (possibly a number from an arrest report or a blotter record file number.)
Shown is a typical sheet from 1938 with a single photo. The man has been tentatively identified (by a book author doing research) as a Herman Matson.
