Statement in 2006 by the artist about this work: The shows at Full House and Hand-Mad were the first time that I created the black/white/black blocks. It wasn't until much later in 1998 with the "Painting to the Haircuts" show that I thought I had to have something here that is going to be my marketing tool, for the style allows the viewer from a half block away to see it and connect it to me. Because on the street you really do have to have at least three seconds to get people's attention.
An enlarged reproduction was used in the exhibition, The Poster Art of Robert Burczy, in the Upper Gallery, Hoboken Historical Museum, May 7 to July 1, 2006 (was scheduled to end June 11, but it was extended.)
