Black-and-white negative photo of the 1955 Hoboken Centennial Parade, Washington St., Hoboken, March 1955.
120 format negative. Photographer is not indicated, but is probably Eleanor Willington or family. None of the individuals are identified.
The view is looking east-southeast.The back end of an unidentified float is seen. It appears to be for Scott paper products. The prop at the right with the letters "RITE" is probably a representation of a Scotch-Rite Wax Paper dispenser. The float is going south in the 200 block of Washington St. In the background is the facade of Town Lunch (also known as Town Grille or Town Bar) which was then located at 215-217 Washington St.
One of a group of 12 negatives from this source of images taken at theSunday, March 27,1955 parade. Digital reference print on file.
