Document: Agreement between the Morris & Essex Railroad Co., Delaware Lackawanna & Western Railroad (parties of the first part and referred to as the "Railroad Company") and the Hoboken and Manhattan Railroad Company, New York and New Jersey Railroad and Hudson Companies (parties of the second part and referred to as the "Hudson Company"), Dec. 19, 1905, regarding subsurface rights, access, indemnification, etc. for the tunnels and construction in New Jersey related to what would become the Hudson and Manhattan Railroad [known locally as the "Tubes"; later the PATH system].
Photocopies only from an unstated record book (possibly Assessors Office, Jersey City); being pages numbered 512-534; numerous holographic annotations on the original. "Received in the office and recorded May 2nd, 1906 at 12/54 P.M. No. 4895."
Maps referred to are not present and as noted in left margin of imaged page, they were in stored in a separate file from the where the original of this document was held. Tiffs and PDF on file.
The text includes several pages of very useful history of the entire project up to that point. Later pages include technical land survey information.
