Originally built in 1907 by the Delaware, Lackawanna and Western Railroad, it was commonly known as Lackawanna Terminal and later Erie-Lackawanna before becoming Hoboken Terminal under NJ Transit. The publication details its history, design, construction, use, restoration past and ongoing, as well as plans for the future. Included is information about the terminal as a transportation hub: Hudson & Manhattan Railroad / PATH system, Billybey / New York Waterways ferry service, buses, Hudson-Bergen Light Rail system. It features some people involved in the terminal such as trainmasters, the owner of the Railhead Bar and a fruit and vegetable vendor. Also reviews some of the motion pictures and music videos that used the terminal for location filming.
