Photograph
Color photographs, twenty-seven, of Macy's Parade Studio, 1505 Willow Ave., during annual media open house with Museum guests among the visitors, Hoboken, November 11, 2006.
Digital images only. Photographs taken by Robert Foster. Archived on disk. Image caption numbers are camera file image numbers and are not always consecutive.
New floats for the 2006 parade are displayed for a media preview. Seen are Museum Director Robert Foster along with Museum guest Patty Bifulco (who is seen in most of the photos; she gained entry to the preview and received grandstand seats to the parade by bidding on a preview and ticket package donated by Macy's at the Museum's Annual Benefit Auction.) plus other people who are not identified.
In the initial photos at the right is Robin Erichsen wearing a Macy's vest. She is a Hoboken resident and the manager of the Parade Studio. The floats are seen inside the main floor shops as well as in the small parking lot outside the building at the corner of 15th St. and Willow Ave. Note: the large floats inside the building are designed and built to disassemble so that they can exit the building and be transported through the Lincoln Tunnel to the parade marshalling site.
