Scope and ContentHolographic certificate letter by Francis G. Himpler, Civil Engineer & Architect, Hoboken to Hoboken City Council, October 19, 1880. Printed lined letterhead, 8" x 10" high. "A former student at the Royal Academy of Building, and the Royal Academy of Arts at Berlin, Germany." Himpler wrote this in his role as the "Superintending Architect of new City Hall Building." Certificate in favor of Sanders and Carroll for the sum of $2500 for the masonry work on the new City Hall, the second part payment, 'when the basement walls are up to half their height' which he certified as "done satisfactorily and in conformity with the agreement."
