Photograph
Sepia-tone photo of a girl posed in photographer's studio, Hoboken, no date, probably 1880-1885. 3-9/16" high x 5-1/2" wide on photographer's mount (what appears to be a later style cabinet photo.) Photographer was Magnus (R. Magnus), 204 Washington St. (this street number would have been in the old number system), Hoboken, N.Y. (sic - actually N.J.). Reverse blank except photographer's imprint. She is not identified, but is probably related to Charles Futterer and family; she may be Tenah ______ [maiden name not known] at 8-10 years of age, who became Futterer's wife. See notes.
See negatives and prints in photo records 2006.001.01xx series that appear to be related to one unidentifed family (possibly the Futterer family) who were probably residents of 108 10th Street, Hoboken. See notes for details.

Notes: The 108 Tenth Street address was the residential side entrance to the building at 1001 Bloomfield St. which was then Futterer's Market operated by Charles Futterer. Wife was Tenah. It would have been typical of the proprietor to live above his business. Original or Copy: Original Status: OK Status By: dw Status Date: 2007-04-13
