Letter on engraved stationery to Florence Miller (716 Bloomfield St., Hoboken) from Rachel Campbell, "By the Road", Bernardsville, New Jersey, Sept. 12, 1919, thanking her for a pair of shoes she made for her baby; with envelope. 2. Letter to Florence Miller from Mabel M. Clarke, 671 Lexington Ave., New York, N.Y., January 19, 1922, thanking her for a tray given as a wedding gift. With envelope that was addressed Miller at "The News, 25 Park Place, New York City. This was The Daily News newspaper which only started operations at this address on April 16, 1921. Miller's position at the paper is not known. 3. Typed note sent to Florence by a Jane Kealey, postmarked May 25, 1931, thanking her for a doll with a pink dress. With envelope addressed to "Miss Florence Miller, School No. 4, Hoboken, N.J." (Miller was a teacher at this elementary school.) The writer was obviously a young child, see penciled signature, but familiar enough with Miller to address her by her first name; whether a student, former student, young neighbor or relative is not known, but it would unlikely she would address her so informally if a student. .Amusing item partly for the struggles of a young typist: "How did you know I wanted a doll with a pink dress. I thank you very much. I [pencil] will be out soon and will try to see you before I go to the country. i have a new typewriter. Love."
