Sepia tone photo of shipyard workers posed on deck of the U.S.S. Georgia at Bath Iron Works, Bath, Maine. No date, probably May 1906. 6" x 8" wide printed on 10" x 12" photographer's mount. Photographer was H.E. Morse, Charlestown, Mass. as stamped on the reverse which is otherwise blank. Ink stamped title of ship's name beneath print.
The Hoboken donor identified two of her relatives are in the group photo. They worked at this yard and later at Hoboken shipyard facilities:
Second row, fifth from the left, William Sankowsky, her grandfather on her mother's side. Second row, sixth from the left, Ferdinand Sankowsky, her uncle.

The U.S.S. Georgia was built at this shipyard; launched October 11,1904 and commissioned September 24, 1906. A photograph, 2007.075.0004, by the same photographer, the same vessel, same mount with title and is dated May 14, 1906 suggests that this photo was taken at the same time.
