Sepia tone photo of the U.S.S. Georgia berthed at Bath Iron Works, Bath, Maine, May 14, 1906. 6" x 8" wide printed on 10" x 12" photographer's mount. Photographer was H.E. Morse, Charlestown, Mass. as stamped on the reverse along with ink stamped date. Ink stamped title of ship's name beneath print.
The relation of Hoboken to this image is that two men who worked at this yard on this vessel later worked at Hoboken shipyard facilities per donor Dorothy Butler. These two men were relatives of her: William Sankowsky, her grandfather on her mother's side; Ferdinand Sankowsky, her uncle.
