Notes: archives 2010.006.002 December 8, 1966 Dear Mayor Pascale: Keuffel & Esser Co. would like to thank you for inviting Mr. Grogan to participate in recent discussions with Environmental Sciences personnel regarding a site location for their new facility. As you know, K&E has been serving the engineering community for the past 99 years. Part of our business is devoted to gedetic and space measurement instrumentation and we have sucessfully completed research and development projects emanating from NASA and other governmental agencies. Therefore, we are vitally interested in this project of underwater technology. Several weeks ago, I committed funds to our Planning Division to study the field of Oceanography, in terms of data acquisition, utilizing remote sensing and optical and electronic measurement instrumentation. We believe this field offers a great potential to our country of natural resources and have, therefore, decided to participate in it. We would be happy to utilize our Chemical, Optical and Metrology laboratory facilities for this purpose. In any event, please feel free to call on me if I can be of help.
