Engraver/printer as imprinted vertically next to right vignette: A.B & C. Durand Wright & Co. (More correctly listed in records as: A.B. & C. Durand, Wright & Co., New York.) [Asher Brown Durand] Top vignette: Benjamin Franklin studying lightning. Signed in image and below by A.B. Durand, del. or sc. The two end vignette portraits are the same and not identified or signed, but the man is is known to be Lafayette. Text: The Hoboken Banking and Grazing Company opposite the City of New York promise to pay [ink] G. Jones or bearer One Dollar on demand Hoboken, [ink] Sept. 5th, 18 [18 printed] 26. ___________ Cash'r ______________ Pres't (Signature lines for cashier and president are blank; Thomas C.
