Erie Railroad, Suburban Time Tables, Northern Branch, Effective April 26, 1959.
Single folio, 3-3/4" wide x 7-1/8" high, [4] pp.
On page [1], front cover: "Train Designation Lights at Track Gates, Hoboken Terminal, Erie Railroad Trains will be indicated by Two Lights of the same Color, one above the other." It goes on to describe these platform code lights for three of their lines.
Northern Branch was one of several Erie Railroad lines that ran to Hoboken and was later part of the Erie-Lackawanna Railroad. That railroad discontinued passenger service on this line in 1966.
The formal merger of the Erie and the Delaware, Lackawanna & Western did not take place until 1960, but since 1956, the Erie had been consolidating passenger operations out of the D.L.& W. Hoboken terminal. In this time table the terminal is called "Erie-Lackawanna Station" as tickets could be obtained for a trip to New York via the Lackawanna ferry service. Thus Hoboken was not a "terminal"as far as passage was concerned.
No service on Saturday or Sunday.
