October 13, 1956 issue: Local Time [Standard Time] Trains originated or terminated at the Lackawanna Terminal in Hoboken except those that were coded by color to indicate those which departed or arrived at the the Erie Terminal in Jersey City.
This issue indicates the early stages of the consolidation of service by the Delaware, Lackawanna & Western and the Erie culminating in their 1960 merger.
April 28, 1957 issue: Daylight Saving time. All trains now go to the "Erie-Lackawanna Station in Hoboken." On page [1], front cover: "Train Designation Lights at Track Gates, Hoboken Terminal. New Jersey and New York Railroad Trains Will Be Indicated by Two Yellow [underlined] Lights (one above the other.)"
No service on Sunday.
A trip to or from New York required a trip on the ferry or, as stated on the timetables, Hudson and Manhattan Tube Trains.

Notes: Confusingly, this line was also called New York & New Jersey Railroad as well as New York & Jersey Railroad. It was formerly one of the lines of the Erie Railroad and was now part of the Erie-Lackawanna Railroad. It became part of New Jersey Transit as the Pascack Valley line.
