The view is northeast from Observer Highway and Hudson Street of a trolley on the Weehawken, West Shore Terminal Route heading northbound from the Public Service Railway terminal. The reverse noted the car was "Red." Seen at the left is the Hotel Victor at 44 Hudson Street with a view to its right of the Lyric Theatre back end with a painted sign "Soulier's Lyric Theatre" on the south face. Right of the sign is the American Hotel at the corner of River St. and Hudson Place. At the right edge is a maintenance building of the Hudson & Manhattan Railroad.
