Caption:
(NY24) HOBOKEN, N.J., Jan. 25. GOODBYE AMERICA! -- Her antiquated engines throwing off a black pall of smoke, the Leviathan, once a proud luxury liner, is shown as she headed down the Hudson river today on her last trip. The rusty, black ghost of a ship sailed for Rosyth, Scotland, where she will be broken up and her hull fed to Britain's armaments industries. (AP Wirephoto) (rmb32315j)8
