Train orders, sixteen, issued by Delaware, Lackawanna & Western Railroad, Hoboken, 1948-1951. Printed form on green tissue paper, 6-1/8" wide x 8" high; all carbon copies with holographic entries (except 1 typewritten.) Except for Nov. 23, 1948 (issued in Summit, N.J.), all are from Hoboken.
An essential document prepared for the movement of every train under the control of the superintendent. A master book with the originals was maintained by the issuer and the carbon copies were given to the conductor and engineman [locomotive engineer.]
