Timetables, three, for Erie Lackawanna Railway, suburban service to New York via Hoboken, effective February 29, 1976.
All rail routes arrived at or departed from Hoboken with travel to or from New York necessary on the PATH trains whose schedule is included for both World Trade Center and 33rd St. routes.
These schedules are significant as part of the last group published by the Erie Lackawanna Railway (it had been renamed Railway from Railroad in 1968 which was also when the hyphen in its name was discontinued) for these trains. The company had been in bankruptcy for an extended period. In 31 days the EL would turn over its assets to Conrail (April 1, 1976) and cease operations. Its routes were continued by Conrail and the N.J. Department of Transportation.
