The celebration was for the three hundredth anniversary (tercentenary; n.b. it is spelled with a hyphen in the title and without the hyphen in other text) of the purchase of Hoboken (Hobocan Hackinch[sic]) from the Indians by Michael Pauw. Henry Hudson's ship the Half-Moon landing at Hoboken in 1609 is depicted in a drawing on the front cover.
It includes: a day-by-day list of events from Saturday, October 4th to Saturday, October 12 which was Columbus Day; the line of march for the Civic and Military Parade on October 4th (there were also parades on Monday, Educational Day and on Tuesday, Veterans and Industrial Day); several hundred people listed in the committee section.
Includes full page photos of Mayor Bernard N. McFeely and Max Z. Hurwitz, Chairman.
