Notes: Text of case insert Public Service Trolleys In its heyday, Public Service Coordinated Transport of New Jersey operated 2500 trolleys over 900 miles of track, carrying more than 400 million passengers a year. This program, comprised of extremely rare archival film footage, offers a tour of several Union, Essex, and Hudson County lines, including the South Kearney, Jackson, Union City, 21-Orange, 23-Central Avenue, and 29-Bloomfield Avenue routes, and the Newark trolley subway. You'll also visit the unique trolley elevated line, which extended from the Lackawanna Railroad's Hoboken Terminal to Sip Avenue in Jersey City. Trackside and onboard views are presented. Additional scenes include scrapping of the trolleys in 1949 and a section on the dual-powered (electric and internal combustion) All-Service Vehicles. Filmed by Sid Silleck, Walter Druck, Don Van Court, Arthur Lonto, and John Briggs. 30 MINUTES COLOR AND B/W ARCHIVE FILM SOUNDTRACK FEATURES BIG BAND MUSIC Produced by Marc S.
