Printed ticket of the Hudson & Manhattan Railroad Co., 1932. 2-7/16" wide x 1-19/32" high. Printed one side in two colors. Reverse unprinted, but has ink validation stamp. One punched holes. Reverse also has two strips of clear adhesive tape applied to it.
"Good for One Continuous Passage from New York, Jersey City or Hoboken to Newark (Park Place) N.J." Ticket was purchased and validated at Pennsylvania Station, New York on Jan. 19, 1932. Serial numbered at bottom center: 14508. Note that the faint security pattern background is the repeated cross-section tunnel view of the head of a train. Printed by Rand McNally & Co., New York.
It was apparently sold at the Pavonia station (this station was earlier known as "Erie" and tickets used "Er") as indicated by the "Pa." on the lower left side of each part of the ticket.
