Color aerial photo looking east at westside Manhattan piers and Lincoln Tunnel ventilation towers, from over Hudson River near Weehawken, no date, circa 1990.
Photograph taken by Mark Singleton, Hoboken realtor, from Cessna airplane.
Digital image only; scanned from contemporary 4x6 print (slightly faded) in 2011; image on file have been enhanced. Tiff media archive.
To the left is a view down 42nd St. The tall towers at the Hudson River edge are for the Lincoln Tunnel; note just south of the towers is a ferry dock and a ferry heading across the river; in the 2000s, this ferry terminal was replaced by a modern facility that wraps around the tunnel buildings (Hoboken is served by ferries to and from this facility.)
Behind them and south is the Jacob Javits Convention Center.
