Display Value: Fair Notes: Displayed in 2004 Hoboken Historical Museum exhibition: City Animals. Collation & condition: Illustrative plates are inserted. They are not listed so it has not been determined if all are present. The front free endleaf is missing along with the first three leaves preceding the title page including what was the engraved frontispiece. The rear free endleaf is also lacking. Previous owners' ink inscriptions on the front pastedown along with apparent erasure of pencil markings on both pastedowns. A few chewed corners, general foxing, light internal soil otherwise sound text except for tears in some plates. Rubbed and scuffed binding with with more wear at head and foot.
