Photograph
Sepia tone photo of Third Annual Hoboken Baby Parade on Garden Street between Tenth and Eleventh Streets, Hoboken, September 8, 1915.
2-13/16" high x 4-1/2" wide print. Photographer not indicated. Ink numbered in lower right border: 112. Reverse has contemporary ink annotations; inkstamped date; oval inkstamp of H. Jaffee, 118 Washington St., Hoboken.
The photo is from a group of 6 baby parade photos, .0004 to .0009, that were apparently from the Elysian Camera Club, 307 Washington Street, and taken by a club member, probably Hermann Jaffee. It is a small, but rich series with text describing the event and the scenes (although sometimes confusingly.)
The view is looking southwest from near Eleventh St. of the west side of Garden St. The parade is going north on Garden. Five decorated floats or carts are in view. Commentary on reverse about event including one prize cup winner.
