Order of Induction in Military Service of the United States; By the President of the United States, to Lieberantonio [sic - Liberantonio] Bonsanti, Hoboken, July 1, 1918. Order Number 2915, Serial Number 2125. Digital image only. See notes for transcription. Bonsanto was employed as a laborer by the Wkn. [Weehawken] Freight Handling Company at the time of his induction into the U.S. Army. (See 2012.036.0001 for his War Zone Pass used while working in Hoboken at the Port of Embarkation just prior to military service.) Inductees reported to Hoboken Public Library, 500 Park Avenue which was the location for Local [Draft] Board No. 2. ---- Donor Jim Rosati related in a September 2012 email and telephone conversation: I am sending images of my Grandfather's pass. He lived in Hoboken from 1913 to 1919. He ended up getting drafted about 4 weeks later and spent a year in France, coming back to Hoboken in (June) 1919. He made at least one more trip to Hoboken in 1924 for a US passport. He sailed to Italy in January 1925 and brought home a bride, my grandmother, in July 1925. (Rosati related that his grandfather's military service (with honors) expedited his application for American citizenship; address in Hoboken was that of his brother who had preceded Liberantonio's arrival in Hoboken.)

You will, therefore, report to the local board named below at Hoboken Public Library bldg., Hoboken, N.J. at 7:30 P. m. on the ______[paper loss] day of July , 1918.
