Tickets, two: Delaware, Lackawanna & Western Railroad, 12-Trip Weekly Commutation Ticket Between Madison and New York, Oct. 1954; Chatham and New York, Nov. 1954; both stamped "Cancelled." Form L12.
Printed card stock, 2-7/16" high x 4" wide; edge perforations short ends. Unused; no punches.
All rail passage to New York ended at Hoboken and required a ride on the railroad's ferries to complete or begin a trip; alternately passenger could travel on the Hudson & Manhattan Railroad.
1: Madison and New York; serial number 3999; not good after Oct. 9, 1954 with inkstamped date; reverse has validation date stamp of Oct. 4, 1954, Madison, N.J.
2. Chatham and New York; serial number 9878; not good after Nov. 6, 1954 with inkstamped date.
Center coupon of a form.
With: another of the same type - 12-trip Monthly Commutation Ticket for 12 Continuous Trips Between Summit and Harrison or Newark; not good after Jan 1, 1955 with inkstamped date. Stamped "Cancelled." Form L12 N.
This travel obviously did not go through Hoboken.
