LACKAWANNA RAILROAD
The Lackawanna Railroad regrets that it is involved in proceedings which may force it to put its eastbound passengers through turnstiles before boarding ferryboats at Hoboken. The numerous entrances to the Hoboken ferry terminal would make such a requirement very costly and, because of congestion, delay passengers so as to prevent their boarding the boats with which their trains connect.
Such a requirement - contrary to our wishes - might cause diversion of ferry passengers to the Hudson Tubes and busses and necessitate our consideration of further abandonment of ferry service.
So that we may be informed as to the travel customs of our passengers, will you please cooperate by checking NOW one of the following statements, and hand to Lackawanna Representative on train.
