Photograph was oval die-cut and mounted in unprinted oval area surrounded by oval rule. The intended effect is that it appears to be matted. Reverse is printed: Brown's Penny Photographs, | 13th & Washington Sts., | Hoboken, N.J. Note that the 20 Century Photo Company was at the same address and had a similar typeface for the address. Relationship to the Miller family is unknown.
