Notes: Information about Louis Kinon. There is a family history website with pages for Louis Kinon at (as of 2014): http://www.mattdani.com/FamAlbumMenu.aspx?section=k http://www.mattdani.com/FamAlbumNav.aspx?section=k&code=18&lang=e http://www.mattdani.com/FamAlbumNav.aspx?section=k&code=33&lang=e ==== Text below is arranged by cataloger. Pharmacy was at 941 Garden Street, Hoboken, from apparently the mid to late 1890s to about 1914. Louis (born Ludwig) Kinon (1872-1939) emigrated to U.S. in 1889, went to pharmacy school and opened his druggist business; closed it in 1914 and went to work in Jersey City. At his death in 1939, he and his family lived in Union City, 815 15th St. His obituary stated that they had lived there for 25 years which would make it from 1914 onward. Although directory checked did not state it, he and his family probably lived above the pharmacy at 941 Garden until he closed it in 1914. His brother did live in West Hoboken (later part of Union City) in the 1910s, so he may have lived there or moved to near there.
