Photograph
Sepia-tone photos, two: young woman; baby girl; posed in studio, Hoboken, no date, circa 1918-1924.
Real photo postcards, but not so marked; 3-3/8" wide x 5-3/8" high. Photographer: Norman B. Reznicow, Photo Studio, 453 First St., Hoboken, N.J. (inkstamp on reverse of both). Unused and unposted.
Neither subject is identified.
Photo 1: young woman seated on the arm of high back ornately carved chair.
Photo 2: baby standing on the seat of wire chair (commonly called an ice cream parlor chair)
The back does carry the Reznicow inkstamp, but does not have any of the usual imprinting that real photo postcards have. The size of the prints is consistent with photo postcard stock.
====
Except for Jim Hans locating photographer Reznicow in a 1918 City Directory, little has come to light about him. While the date range by photo postcard paper type gives a date range up to 1930, a more likely range is 1918 to 1924.
