Notes: The route map for the H&M helps to date this as between August 1954 and 1962. The 19th Street station is not shown. It closed on August 1, 1954. In 1962, the H&M became the Port Authority Trans-Hudson or PATH. ---- The table at the top left with its annotations helps to date this map between 1956 and 1960. The Erie Railroad began to operate some of their passenger service from Lackawanna Terminal in Hoboken starting in 1956 and fully relocated suburban service by March 1957. It previously had been based at Pavonia, marked as Erie station on the map, in Jersey City. A later user made typewritten entries for the Erie Railroad at two spots (next to the D.L.&W. R.R. - The Delaware, Lackawanna & Western Railroad in Hoboken) and 'x'ed out "Erie R.R." on two other lines related to Jersey City. The Erie continued the process of combining operations and service in Hoboken for the rest of the 1950s. It culminated in the formal merger of the two railroads into the Erie-Lackawanna in October 1960. Status: OK Status By: dw Status Date: 2012-08-09
