DescriptionPaperweight paperclip holder from Haven Savings and Loan Association, Hoboken, no date, ca. 1980's. Brass-finish oversized metal paper clip, 7-3/4" overall height on a marbelized plastic base, 3-5/8" diameter. Base imprinted with gold lettering. Belonged to the Avegno family, long-time residents of 907 Castle Point Terrace, Hoboken, who did a great deal of their personal banking here. Presumably this was gift premium as was typically given by the bank to customers making certain types and/or amounts of deposits. The bank was at 621 Washington St. during this period.
